This is a special edition print created in memory and solidarity with the people of Palestine. They were apart of my Dia De Los Muertos works this year.
These Cyanotype totes are made with natural plants and photographic negatives that are exposed over a light sensitive fluid leaving behind the shadow. This process was created in the 1840s by botanists as a way to document their discoveries before the invention of the camera. These prints are a continuation of that practice and the connection between art and science. All plants are sustainably harvested and printed in San Diego, California. Each print is completely unique.
